Tony Riddick, CFE, CPA

Tony Riddick currently serves INS as a Financial Regulation Director. Serving on our financial analysis team, he assists regulators achieve compliance with accreditation standards in accordance with newly adopted risk-focused analysis procedures. Mr. Riddick has been assisting the Illinois Department of Insurance (Illinois DOI) for more than three years, performing reviews of the Illinois DOI analyst’s financial analysis of annual and quarterly statements. Mr. Riddick is currently assisting the New Mexico Office of the Superintendent of Insurance (NMOSI) with risk-focused financial analysis and has served in an Interim Chief Financial Analyst capacity for NMOSI.

  Mr. Riddick has been a member of the NAIC Accreditation Team for four years where he conducts accreditation reviews of state insurance departments to ensure their financial analysis processes and procedures meet the standards of the NAIC Accreditation Program Manual. Mr. Riddick is a former state regulator with over thirty years of regulatory experience. He previously served the North Carolina Department of Insurance as Deputy Commissioner of the Financial Evaluation Division, where he was responsible for financial analysis, company licensing, and examinations.
